About

Galina Titova is a textile artist based in York. Working in a traditional wet felting technique she creates felted pictures resembling watercolour painting and unique felted sculptures.
Drawing inspiration from geometrical form found in nature she designs and makes sculptural textile pieces on large and small scale.
Images of sea creatures were used as a source of her studies of form, colour and texture.
In endless pursuit of perfection she took courses with internationally renowned felt artists Leiko Uchiyama (Japan), Caroline Merrel(UK), Maria Jose Troncoso (Argentina), Esther Weber (Italy).
Galina herself taught online course on wet felted 3-D fish sculpture in 2017-2018.
She exhibited her work at Saltaire Sculpture Trail (2018), Art in the Pen shows (2016-2019), Feltrosa Felt Festival (Italy, 2017), Rural Arts gallery (Thirsk, 2016), Felted Fever exhibition at Fringe (London, 2015).
