About
Galina Titova is a textile artist working in eco print
Eco Printing is a form of natural dyeing. The colours and shapes of natural plant material are transferred to paper or fabric in a process of steaming or boiling. Together with leaves the paper is rolled around a dowel and steamed to release the dye out of the plant. Leaves and flowers give away their pigments and work as stamps creating unique colour palette and shape pattern. Each imprint is unique and can't be repeated. No artificial dyes used. The most plants are local and collected in my garden and the woodlands of North Yorkshire where she lives.
